Through this ministry, members of Grace Anglican Church serve the children of the disadvantaged community at Middletowne Apartments in Orange Park through tutoring, mentoring, activities, and love. In addition to having a lot of fun, volunteers help children K-6 grades with their schoolwork, play games, and serve snacks.
Volunteers for this ministry meet at Middletowne on Tuesday afternoons during school months from 3:00-4:45pm. Teens that want to volunteer to be a part of this ministry earn 2 service hours weekly.
In addition to tutoring, we provide Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas Angel Tree gifts for the children. There is no experience required – just a loving heart and a great attitude.
Grace Anglican is looking for a person to coordinate this ministry. Paula McKeithen who has been our coordinator will be moving soon. Thank you Paula for many years of service!
