Grace Anglican Church has adopted a Mercy Support Services apartment off Filmore Street to help families that are transitioning out of homelessness. New residents are moving in and help is need to restock and refurnish the apartment. CLICK HERE for a list of items that are still needed.
This organization offers a platform for churches and human service agencies to come together to improve awareness of and communication. The goal of this collaboration is to avoid duplication of services, to allow for the sharing of resources, and to prevent abuse of support systems. The partnership formed between Mercy Support Services and their partners brings about services for those in need that were previously missing in Clay County.
Mercy Support Services has supportive group residences for displaced families as well as a centralized clearing house where people in crisis are screened, qualified and case managed until they are self-sufficient. If you would like to volunteer for this ministry please contact Caroljo Creighton.
